A Passion Project: Isle of Tone – Guitar Pedals with SoulGitarreneffektpedale

Some projects find you. In 2019, I was asked to create a few screen prints for Isle of Tone’s hand-built fuzz pedals. From the very first moment, it just clicked: the project, the people and of course, the music.

„The Haze 67 Fuzz is Isle of Tone’s refined take on the legendary Tonebender MK 1.5 / Fuzz Face circuit. It offers sparkling clean tones, classy rhythm sounds and those legendary fuzz textures that don’t crumble or fall apart. Each pedal enclosure is hand-painted, screen printed, aged and finished with care, no two are the same. Every detail matters.“  Read more

I’ve been working in the printing business since the 1990s, but special projects like this have their own unique magic. Especially in screen printing, a process that blends craftsmanship, precision and creativity in the most satisfying way. For Isle of Tone, I print each pedal manually, using custom-designed artwork, color layers and textures. No shortcuts. Just hands-on printing and pure attention to detail.

Quality, durability and character are values I bring into every project. The same goes for Isle of Tone. These pedals are made to last: visually, technically and emotionally. You feel it when you hold one in your hand. And even more when you plug in.

Why This Project Strikes a Chord with Me as a Musician

What truly sets this project apart for me is its deep connection to music. As a lifelong musician and drummer, being involved in something that combines handcrafted design and sonic artistry is pure joy. Working with other musicians, creating something unique that becomes part of their sound is deeply fulfilling.

Each pedal I print carries a piece of that story. A combination of tone, texture and intention. It’s not about mass production. It’s about making something meaningful for artists who care about their sound as much as their tools.

Whether it ends up on a studio board in L.A. or a smoky stage somewhere in Europe, every Haze 67 Fuzz pedal has its own journey – and I’m proud to be part of it.
